Titans Beat Cardinals

LEWISVILLE, Ind. –
The top-ranked Tri High softball team won 15-2 over Seton on Friday night.

Payton Moore battled the elements on the mound as she had 12 strikeouts and limited the Cardinals to a pair of hits to earn her third victory of the season.

Tri scored eight times in the bottom of the first inning to take an early lead.

Seton answered with two runs in the second, but the Titans responded with seven more runs in the bottom of the frame.

In the first, Moore had two hits, while Lauren Bouslog and Kassidy Stewart also had hits

With one out in the second inning, Abi Busby singled and Chloe Gentry doubled before Breanna Reece walked to load the bases.

After a wild pitch, Stewart and Destiny Taylor both walked. Moore cleared the bases with a triple and she scored on an error during the play.

Bouslog and Kierstyn Conyers followed with singles before Kaley Harrison knocked in the final run for the Titans on a fielder’s choice.

The Titans (3-0) are scheduled to play at Wapahani on Tuesday.
