The Winchester girls tennis team split its opening matches this week as the Golden Falcons fell 4-1 at South Adams on Thursday before beating Union City 5-0 on Friday.
Winchester’s Mariah Roberts won 6-3, 6-0 at No. 1 singles over Haley Gerber 6-3, 6-0 in the South Adams contest.
