BLUFFTON, Ind. – The Winchester girls basketball team opened the season on Saturday with a 59-51 victory at Bluffton.
Maddie Lawrence led the way with 13 points and 13 rebounds as Winchester erased a 26-25 halftime deficit.
Kira Robinson added 12 points, 10 rebounds and seven blocks. Shelby Miller had 11 points and four rebounds. Liz Pegg finished with 10 points.
Winchester won the JV contest 35-24. Becca Chamberlin led the way with 14 points.
The Golden Falcons (1-0) entertain Shenandoah on Friday.
