WINCHESTER, Ind. – The Winchester boys tennis team earned a Tri-Eastern Conference victory on Monday as the Golden Falcons defeated Lincoln 3-2.
For Winchester, Aaron Wallace defeated Seth Martin 6-2, 2-6, 6-3 at No. 1 singles. At No. 3, Mason Melton beat Austin Lanich 6-3, 6-2.
In doubles, Thadd Legear and Justin McAllister won 7-5, 6-0 over Mathew Berry and Mark Cox at No. 2.
Lincoln’s win in singles came in the second position as Seth Morris defeated Trey Graft 7-6, 6-2. At No. 1 doubles, Nate Gulde and Jeb Reece beat Michael Georgi and Drake Moody 6-2, 7-5.
The teams tied in JV action 2-2.
Winchester’s Alex Pegg defeated Michael Dalrymple 6-0. In doubles, Brandon Grow and Adam Myers beat Erich Vernon and Carter Mettler 6-4.
Jackson Reed of Lincoln beat Flynt Runkle 6-4, while Eric Castor and Dalrymple defeated Beman Welch and Brayden Wilcox 6-4.
On Tuesday, Lincoln is at Union County and Winchester entertains Northeastern.
