WINCHESTER, Ind. – The Winchester girls basketball team pulled away early from Muncie Central on Wednesday as the Golden Falcons beat the Bearcats 72-44.
The Golden Falcons led 22-7 after the first period and then gained complete control by halftime with a 37-14 advantage.
Maddie Lawrence led Winchester with 22 points, while Kira Robinson added 16. Both players led the Golden Falcons with six rebounds apiece.
Kelly Graft finished with eight points with Liz Pegg, Autumn Dixon and Shelby Miller contributing six points each.
Winchester (13-4) visits Union County for a Tri-Eastern Conference contest on Thursday.
