Union City Girls Team Awards Announced

UNION CITY, Ind. –
Union City Head Girls Basketball Coach Sarah Hines announced the 2015-16 team awards for the Indians on Wednesday.

Seven players earned nine awards for the varsity with Justiss Cantu and Kora Kerns picking up multiple honors.

Cantu was honored for most assists and steals, while Kerns was a defensive leader and 3-point percentage leader.

Tri-Eastern Conference Player of the Year Courtney Wise had the team’s top field goal percentage.

Madeline Adams was selected as a defensive leader and Joette Sigler received the Mental Attitude Award.

Baylee Hartman was named the Most Improved Player and Kelsey Zimmers led the Indians in 3-pointers.

Four JV players were honored. Kahlee Dowler was the offensive leader, while Kelsie Burton was the top defender.

Reagan Hoggatt was the Most Improved and Ellie Kerns was the Mental Attitude winner.
