Tigers Take Down Marauders

HAGERSTOWN, Ind. – The Hagerstown baseball team was able to finish the regular season on Saturday with a 6-2 win over Mt. Vernon.

The game at Lloyd Michael Field was called due to rain in the fifth inning.

Trey Kelley and Trent Weiss led the Class 1A No. 1 Tigers with three hits each.

Kelly knocked in two runs and swiped a pair bases. Weiss had two doubles and a triple.

Cameron Purtha, Owen Golliher and Drew Pyle added two hits apiece.

Brett Burns started on the mound and worked 3⅔ innings to get the win. Pyle worked the last 1⅓ to pick up a save.

Hagerstown (19-3) faces Tri at McBride Stadium on Wednesday in the Seton Sectional.
