Patriots Win TEC Contest at Northeastern

FOUNTAIN CITY, Ind. – Scott Mosley tossed a two-hitter on Thursday to lead the Union County baseball team to a 3-1 win over Northeastern.

Mosley, who didn’t give up a hit until the sixth, recorded 11 strikeouts in the Tri-Eastern Conference affair.

Union County took an early 1-0 when Mosley knocked in the first run of the contest with a single in the opening frame.

The Patriots added their final two runs in the third on RBI hits by Leighton Schulte and Blake Fields.

For the Knights, Dylan Baker had the single that ended the no-hitter, while Garrett Dill added a run-scoring hit in the sixth.

Mason Fisher (0-1) started on the mound for the Knights. He left with one out in the sixth after surrendering three runs on seven hits.

The Patriots (3-0, 1-0) entertain Tri-County North in a doubleheader on Saturday, while the Knights (0-1, 0-1) are at home the same day for a twinbill with Wapahani.
