LIBERTY, Ind. – Union County swept a doubleheader from Winchester on Saturday 13-0 and 10-0 as both games went five innings.
Mook Shepler surrendered just three hits in the opener, which was a Tri-Eastern Conference contest.
Caleb Greene topped the Patriots with three hits. Nate Webb had two doubles as he knocked in three runs. Leighton Schulte and Jacob Stansberry each had two hits.
Michael Georgi, Aaron Beatty and Landon Lahey had hits for Winchester.
In the second game, Joey Weller pitched a no-hitter for the Patriots allowing just two walks.
Greene had two hits and two RBI, while Cameron Donovan had a triple with the bases loaded.
