LEWISVILLE, Ind. – The Union County softball team scored four times in the top of the seventh inning on Tuesday as the Patriots posted a 6-5 win over Tri.
Emma Adams led the Patriots with three hits and a home run.
Tara Williams knocked in three runs with a pair of homers.
Tanner Henry, Kristin Klein and Rachel Sparks also added two hits each.
For the Titans, Lauren Bouslog had three hits.
Payton Moore had a homer and a pair of RBI.
Danielle Franklin earned the win for Union County as she worked the final four innings on the mound with five strikeouts in relief of Sparks, who started for the Patriots.
Both teams return to action against TEC foe Lincoln.
Tri (8-3, 0-2) visits the Golden Eagles on Friday, while the Patriots (15-5, 3-1) entertain them next Tuesday.
