Week eight of the college football season offered several memorable moments. Perhaps the biggest play of the weekend was the blocked kick that ended Georgia Tech’s 22-16 upset victory over No. 9 Florida State as the Seminoles (6-1, 4-1) were going for the Atlantic Coast Conference win. Lance Austin of Georgia Tech returned the blocked […]
Baseball cards in some form have been around for over a century. They’ve been in my house for over 40 years. I remember sitting in the front yard under a tree sorting them by teams. My grandfather and I built a big wooden box to store them under my bed. It seemed to be a […]
Tony Dorsett had set the stage one year earlier for the Pittsburgh Panthers. During the 1975 season, Dorsett had led the Pittsburgh Panthers to an 8-4 record. The Panthers finished the year ranked No. 15 in the final Associated Press poll after winning 34-20 at Notre Dame as Dorsett gained 303 yards before beating Kansas […]

Mississippi Head Coach Hugh Freeze hopes his team can […]

Craziness was the part of the college football landscape over the last week with coaching changes and South Carolina and Southern Cal. On the field, the wildest moment occurred as No. 7 Michigan State won 27-23 at No. 12 Michigan (5-2, 2-1). Michigan State’s Jalen Watts-Jackson scooped up a fumble by Michigan punter Blake O’Neill […]

Due to travel restrictions during World War II, the 1945 mid-summer classic was not played, so Rosen missed his opportunity as it was his only all-star season. Born in Toronto in 1912, Rosen played in six seasons in […]
