Lincoln; Tri High Advance to Semifinals


LEWISVILLE, Ind. –
Top-ranked Lincoln and No. 4 Tri High are slated to meet again on Wednesday after both teams took care of opening round opponents in the Class 1A Tri High Sectional.

Lincoln defeated Union City 13-0 before the Titans downed Randolph Southern 10-0.

On Wednesday at 5 p.m., the two teams meet in the semifinals in a rematch after an extra-inning  affair won 1-0 by Lincoln earlier this season. Blue River and Seton Catholic square off in the second contest with the winners playing for the title on Thursday.

Laynie Russell and Kaleigh Lamb led the Golden Eagles with three hits apeice. Emmie Pugh added a pair of hits.

Rachel Moschell knocked in four runs and Kylee Smith drove in two.

Hannah Hall got the win as she combined with Lamb and Jaela Patton to hold Union City to one hit by Jodi Carpenter.

For the Titans, Kierstyn Conyers surrendered four hits with seven strikeouts to get the win.

Kaley Harrison had three hits including a triple.

Payton Moore added two hits with a triple and scored two runs. Conyers also had a pair of hits.
