PORTLAND, Ind. –
Union City had a pair of wrestlers qualify for the regional as the Indians participated in the Jay County Sectional on Saturday.

“We battled all day with extremely tough competition,” Union City Head Coach Keith Maloy said. “Our kids did a great job.”

Nick Wells (138) and Braxton Wright (182) both were second overall.

“We had two in the finals,” Maloy said. “They both will have another tough week next Saturday, but if they keep winning they will move on to the semi-state.”

Max Harris (126) finished his career as he was fifth.

“He has had a huge impact on our program for the past four years,” Maloy said. “We are going to miss him.”

The top four in each class advance to the next round.
