Hagerstown Finishes Second in TEC

HAGERSTOWN, Ind. –
Hagerstown’s girls basketball team finished in second place in the Tri-Eastern Conference as the Tigers defeated Union City 36-20.

The Tigers end the regular season 11-9 overall and 6-2 in the conference. Defending league champ Union City is 9-13 and 3-5.

Kassidy Oliger led the Tigers with 13 points and 11 rebounds.

Hallie Rogers had eight points and six assists.

For the Indians, Mackenzie Green led the way with nine points.

Kahlee Dowler grabbed five rebounds and Sophia Spence had three steals.

Union City won the JV game 33-30 as Mya Carpenter had 18 points.

Hagerstown faces Lincoln (10-11) in Tuesday’s second game of the Class 2A Northeastern Sectional.

On Friday at 7:30 p.m., the Indians meet the winner of Tuesday’s Seton (3-19)-Randolph Southern (16-6) contest in the Class 1A Union City Sectional.
