LIBERTY, Ind. – The Centerville girls basketball team won a Tri-Eastern Conference contest at Union County 23-21 on Friday night.
Cassidy Weiss and Carlie Doolin led the Bulldogs with seven points apiece.
Alex McFarland added six points.
Rainey Shepler led the Patriots with six points.
Madison Gray contributed five points.
Both teams begin play next week in the Class 2A Northeastern Sectional.
The Bulldogs (6-15, 2-6) open the event on Tuesday against No. 6 Winchester (20-2) at 6 p.m. Union County (10-12, 5-3) will meet the winner of that contest in the semifinals on Friday at 6 p.m.
