WINCHESTER, Ind. – The Winchester boys tennis team posted a 4-1 win over Muncie Burris on Wednesday.
The Golden Falcons won twice in singles and swept the doubles action.
In singles, Trey Graft defeated Matthew Lit 6-4, 6-2 at No. 2, while Mason Melton beat Andrew Combs 6-1, 6-1 in the third position.
At the top spot in doubles, Michael Georgi and Drake Moody won 7-5, 6-4 over Carson Adams and Ethan Nguyen. At No. 2, Justin McAllister and Thadd Legear defeated JI Taylor and Karlic Gannamaneniciz 6-4, 6-4.
Winchester’s only loss was at No. 1 singles as Aaron Wallace dropped a tight contest to Mason Waldren 6-4, 3-6, 6-4.
The Golden Falcons are at Hagerstown on Tuesday.
