Girls Golf Teams Begin Fall Season

tec wall at union coRICHMOND, Ind. – Three Tri-Eastern Conference girls golf teams got the fall sports season underway on Monday as they competed in Richmond’s Invitational at the Elks Country Club.

Centerville was fifth in the nine-team event with a 389 followed by Union County (394) in sixth and Hagerstown (421) in seventh.

Centerville was led by Brooke Killion’s 90 and Chloe Brown’s 91. Anna Carter (102) and Alison Weaver (106) also scored for the Bulldogs.

Union County’s Haylee King had the top performance of the TEC golfers as she led the Patriots with an 89, while Sydney McClure had a 95 and J.C. Pike had a 98. Emily Treadway finished with a 112.

For Hagerstown, Regan MeKee led the way with a 94 and Emilee Thackery finished with a 95. The other scores for the Tigers were Mattie Drew Doerstler (116), Stefani Bruns (116) and Sierra Searcy (134).

Richmond won the affair with a 373. Franklin County’s Dana Branstetter was the medalist with an 81.
