Bulldogs Sweep Royals

CentervilleCHARLOTTESVILLE, Ind. – Centerville’s swimming teams both posted victories on Monday night at Eastern Hancock.

The girls team defeated the Royals 98-70, while the boys won 109-50.

For the girls (2-0), Aubrey Davis, Amelia Boicourt, Sophie Neher and Sydney Whiteley won the 200 Free Relay (1:51.63). Tory Cruse, Haley Hites, Baylee Fry and Boicourt won the 400 Free Relay (4:37.41)

Individually, Cruse won the 200 Free (2:23.47), Davis won the 100 Fly (1:14.27), Neher won the 100 Free (1:04.10) and Grace Whiteley won the 500 Free (6:43.03).

Setting new personal records were Maddie Riggott in the 200 Free and the 100 Fly, Michaela Stough in the 50 Free and the 100 Breast, Kayla Newman in the 100 Free and the 100 Back, Kianna Dudas in the 50 Free, Ashley Williams in the 50 Free, Grace Whiteley in the 50 Free, Hites in the 200 IM and the 100 Free, Boicourt in the 200 Free, Darien Ridenour in the 100 Fly, Jolie Rusznak in the 100 Free, Citlalli Moreno in the 100 Free, Fry in the 500 Free, Madi Day in the 500 Free, Bailey Owens in the 100 Back and Addie Walther in the 100 Breast.

On the boys (1-0) side, Aaron Glover, Nico Wankerl, Parker Neher and Parker Jaynes won the 200 Medley Relay (2:08.22). Jaynes, Glover, Neher and Wankerl in the 400 Free Relay (4:06.26).

Jaynes won the 200 Free (2:22.59), Wankerl won the 50 Free (24.87) and the 100 Breast (1:13.14) and Neher won the 100 Free (:59.77)

Swimmers with new personal records were Ryan Hugo in the 200 Free and the 100 Back, Konner Duncan in the 200 Free and the 100 Free, Glover in the 200 IM and the 500 Free, Aydan Koyles in the 200 IM, Jonathan Jellison in the 50 Free, Jaynes in the 100 Fly, Ben Nevels in the 100 Fly and 100 Back, Wyatt Sewell in the 100 Fly and the 100 Breast, Jackson Troutwine in the 100 Free and Cameron Salo in the 500 Free.

The teams compete in the Centerville Diving Invitational on Monday.
