WINCHESTER, Ind. –
Morgan Friend of Winchester has announced that she is going to continue her volleyball career at Trine University.

“I chose Trine because I really like the campus atmosphere, focus on academic studies, as well as the coaches and the program,” Friend said. “I plan on studying biology.”

Trine is a NCAA Div. III school located in Angola, Ind.

“I am nervous but excited for my transition to play college volleyball,” said Friend, who is the daughter of Tom and Stacy Friend and Tori Pullins.

Jamie Wozniak is the head coach of the Thunder, who compete in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association.

“I have worked hard to get to this point,” Friend said. “Finally being able to take my game to the next level and achieving my goals is exciting.”

Friend was a member of the 2017 All-Tri-Eastern Conference team after leading the Golden Falcons in service aces and points. She had a season-high nine aces in a match against Blackford. She was second on the team in digs and assists.

She has been an all-conference performer in softball as well.
