Tigers Sweep Titans


HAGERSTOWN, Ind. –
The Hagerstown baseball team swept Tri High on Saturday at Lloyd Michael Field.

The Tigers won the opener 6-4, which counts as the Tri-Eastern Conference contest. Hagerstown won the second game 4-0.

Cameron Purtha and Noah Dale led the Tigers with two hits each in the first game.

Mason Hicks drove in two runs and Trent Weiss had three stolen bases.

Drew Pyle pitched four innings to get the with with seven strikeouts. Cody Swimm earned a save with three strikeouts in three innings.

Jared Stevens led the Titans with a hit and two RBI.

Mason Rottinghaus added a run-scoring single and Josiah Jackson swiped two bases.

Jackson also went the distance on the mound with nine strikeouts.

In the second game, Dale blanked the Titans on seven hits with five strikeouts.

Swimm and Weiss had two hits apiece. Swimm, Hicks and Pyle each had one RBI.

Brendan Luzader had three hits for the Titans.

Drew Mondrush had a complete game with three strikeouts.

The Titans (4-5, 2-2) return to action on Monday at Blue River.

Hagerstown (8-1, 3-0) faces Richmond at McBride Stadium on Monday at 7 p.m.
