INDIANAPOLIS – Union County’s baseball season came to an end on Saturday as the Patriots fell 2-0 to Indianapolis Scecina in the opening round of the Class 2A Park Tudor Regional.
Scecina scored twice in the first inning for the only runs in the contest against the third-ranked Patriots.
Union County’s Joey Weller went the distance on the mound and gave up four hits with seven strikeouts.
Weller, Justin Witter, Preston Scott and Zander Kottka had the hits for the Patriots.
The Patriots finish the season at 26-4.
