No. 3 Union County Wins Again

LIBERTY, Ind. –
Joey Weller tossed a five-inning shutout on Thursday as the third-ranked Union County baseball team defeated Tri High 10-0.

Weller allowed three hits with 11 strikeouts in the Tri-Eastern Conference affair.

The Patriots are now 18-3 overall and they clinched at least a tie with a 7-0 mark in the league, while the Titans are 8-10, 4-4.

Union County was up 2-0 in the bottom of the fifth before the Patriots scored eight times to end the game.

Preston Scott and Zander Kottka led the Patriots as both finished with a pair of hits and two RBI.

Justin Witter knocked in two runs.

For the Titans, Drew Mondrush had two hits.

Josiah Jackson suffered the loss with four innings of the work with two strikeouts.
