Knights Defeat Titans in TEC Contest

LEWISVILLE, Ind. –
The Northeastern boys basketball team ended its two-game losing streak on Wednesday as the Knights won 73-54 at Tri High.

The Tri-Eastern Conference affair was tied 14-14 at the end of the first quarter before the Knights built a 40-21 advantage by halftime to put the game away.

Freeman Brou led the Knights with 18 points, while Carter Lumpkin added 17.

Jalen Hillard finished with 14 and Kolden Vanlandingham had 12 points.

For the Titans, Drew Mondrush led the way with 13 points.

Kyler Burchett and Elijah Davis both ended with 10 points.

Northeastern won the JV contest 46-27 with three players in double figures with Quantrell Gammon leading the way with 13 points.

Garrett Tudor added 12 points and Dalton Kinney finished with 10.

Dillon Stevens and Evan Murphy topped the Titans with seven points each.

The Knights (12-7, 4-1) entertain TEC leader Union County (14-5, 6-0) on Friday night.

The Titans (5-11, 1-5) are back in action at home on Tuesday against Seton (5-15).
