Kelley Named TEC Baseball Player of the Year

Trey Kelley was named TEC Baseball Player of the year.

 

Hagerstown’s Trey Kelly was named the Tri-Eastern Conference Player of the Year for baseball on Sunday.

Kelley led the Tigers in nearly every offensive category. He batted .494 with 44 hits and 29 RBI. He was second in homers with three, runs scored with 24 and third in stolen bases with 14.

On the mound, Kelley went 9-0 with an ERA of 0.90 and three saves. He was second on the squad with 82 strikeouts in 62 innings.

Kelley was joined by Kory Beeson, Drew Pyle and Trent Weiss on the All-TEC Team.

The Tigers finished the season ranked No. 1 in Class 1A as they won the TEC and a sectional title.

Union County, the TEC runner-up and a Class 2A sectional champ, had Caleb Greene, Mook Shepler and Leighton Schulte on the All-TEC squad.

Centerville had Nolan Witte, Matt Stamper and Chris Pritchett on the team.

Trevor Spence and Zach Bradbury were selected from Union City, while Tri had Josiah Jackson and Drew Mondrush on the list.

Northeastern’s Connor Bray and Tanner Wilson were chosen and Winchester’s Jacob Lahey and Michael Georgi round out the team.
