Hagerstown’s Owen Golliher


PORTLAND, Ind. –
The Hagerstown baseball team split a doubleheader on Saturday at Jay County.

The Tigers won 8-2, while falling 6-3.

In the win, Owen Golliher hit a three-homer in the first inning as the Tigers grabbed a 4-0 advantage. The first run came on a sacrifice fly by Drew Pyle.

The Tigers scored four more times in the fourth with out a hit to put the game away.

Cody Swimm led the Tigers with three hits.

Derek Davis got the win with three strikeouts in five innings. Swimm tossed the final tow frames.

In the other contest, Noah Dale led the way with a pair of hits and a RBI.

Swimm added a double and Trent Weiss had the other hit.

The Tigers (12-3, 5-1) entertain Tri-Eastern Conference foe Centerville on Tuesday.
