Knights Fall to Royals

NortheasternCHARLOTTESVILLE, Ind. – The Northeastern football team dropped a non-conference contest on Friday to Eastern Hancock 38-28.

Ranked eighth in Class 2A, the Knights trailed 25-8 at the intermission before they closed the gap in the second half.

Northeastern quarterback Jacob Auger led the Knights offense with 160 yards rushing and three touchdowns, while completing 6-of-15 passes for 58 yards and a score.

Ryan Hartmann gained 59 yards on the ground and added two catches for 32 yards with a touchdown grab.

The Knights (2-1) entertain Hagerstown next Friday as they look for a second straight win the Tri-Eastern Conference.
