Golden Eagles Defeat Winchester

DUBLIN, Ind. –
Lincoln scored five times in the first inning on Wednesday as the Golden Eagles went on to defeat Winchester 14-1 in Tri-Eastern Conference action.

Kaleigh Lamb led Lincoln with four hits as she knocked in a pair of runs in the five-inning affair.

Alyssa Messer, Laynie Russell, Hannah Hall and Kylee Smith all had two hits for Lincoln.

Messer had a homer and a double to drive in five runs, while Russell also homered and doubled. Hall added a pair of doubles.

Hall went the distance on the mound allowing two hits with six strikeouts.

Both teams are back in action on Thursday.

The Golden Eagles (7-1, 2-0) visit TEC foe Northeastern, while Winchester (1-7, 0-2) entertains Cowan.
