NEW PALESTINE, Ind. – Centerville and Hagerstown swim teams competed in the New Palestine Sectional on Saturday.
The Bulldogs finished fifth, while the Tigers were eighth.
Centerville had a pair of champions as Aubrey Davis won the 100-yard backstroke in 1:01.91 and Jolie Rusznak was first in diving with a score of 390.35.
As a sectional champ, Davis qualified for the next weekend’s state meet at the IU Natatorium in Indianapolis. The prelims are on Friday with the finals on Saturday.
Rusznak advanced to the diving regional at Plainfield on Tuesday. She must finish in the top eight to earn a ticket to the state meet.
Sydney Whiteley finished second in the 50 Free as she broke her own school record with a 25.29.
