The Union County girls golf team finished third in the Richmond Sectional to advance to the Lapel Regional.
RICHMOND, Ind. – The Union County girls golf team finished third on Saturday in the Richmond Sectional at the Elks Country Club.
The Patriots advance to next Saturday’s Lapel Regional at Edgewood Golf Club in Anderson.
In addition the Patriots moving on as a team to represent the Tri-Eastern Conference, Centerville’s Chloe Brown and Hagerstown’s Emilee Thackrey qualified as individuals.
Franklin County won the sectional title with Richmond finishing in second ahead of Union County.
Dana Branstetter of Franklin County was the medalist with a 78. Brown was second overall with an 83.
Union County’s Haylee King led the Patriots with an 87, while Thackrey carded an 89.
