FRANKFORT, Ind. – Tri’s softball team made history on Saturday as the Titans defeated South Central 4-3 to reach the Class 1A state championship game.
The Titans (25-3) will meet Tecumseh (22-9) next Saturday at Ben Davis with the game starting at 10:30 a.m.
Abi Busby had two hits for Tri and drove in a pair of runs as the Titans scored in the fifth to tie the game 3-3 before adding the winning tally in the sixth.
Destiny Taylor also had two hits for the Titans. Bailey Coffman, Kirsten Falck, Breanna Reece and Payton Moore each had a hit.
Moore got the win on the mound as she limited South Central to three hits with a strikeout.
