FOUNTAIN CITY, Ind. – Northeastern’s Mason Fisher and Hunter Kirkland combined for a no-hitter on Thursday as the Knights defeated Winchester 7-0.
Fisher tossed five innings with six strikeouts in the Tri-Eastern Conference affair. Kirkland went the final two frames for a save.
Offensively, the Knights were led by Connor Bray, who had three hits including a homer as he drove in two runs.
Tyler Dale also had three hits, while Kaleb Loaiza and Fisher both had two hits.
The Knights (11-9, 1-5) are at South Adams on Saturday.
The Golden Falcons (6-8, 1-5) open the sectional tournament at Centerville against Union County next Thursday at 5 p.m.
