MUNCIE, Ind. – Three athletes from the Tri-Eastern Conference qualified for the boys track regional on Thursday at the Muncie Central Sectional.
Winchester’s Camden Abernathy and Jon Thornburg along with Union City’s Trevor Thompson each had top three finishes allowing them to compete in next Thursday’s North Central Regional.
Abernathy and Thompson are in two events, while Thornburg will be in one.
Abernathy was third in the both the 1,600 (4:39.19) and 3,200 (10:29.94). Thompson was second in the 800 (2:03.96) and high jump (6-4). Thornburg was third in the shot put (42-10).
