Tigers Participate in Midwest Invitational

INDIANAPOLIS – Seven members of Hagerstown’s track and field teams competed and earned medals at the Midwest Prep Track and Field Invitational in an event hosted by Lawrence Central at Marian University on Saturday.

There were over 500 athletes representing 55 schools from three states.

The top finish for Hagerstown came in the boys 3,200 relay as Alec Hicks, Jevon Osborne, Kaleb Slagle and Logan Tuttle placed third in a school-record time of 8:21.48.

Slagle later competed along with teammate Mason Bledsoe in the 1,600 where Bledsoe finished fourth in his section and fourth overall in 4:34.48. Slagle won his section and placed sixth overall in 4:38.43.

Holden Robinson got his first experience at the 400 hurdles finishing fifth in a time of 1:00.11.

Aimee Hoodlebrink had a distance of 16’2½” in the long jump was good enough for a seventh-place finish.
