Golden Eagles Beat Northeastern in Girls Tennis

LincolnCAMBRIDGE CITY, Ind. – The Lincoln girls tennis team won another Tri-Eastern Conference affair on Wednesday as the Golden Eagles posted a 5-0 victory over Northeastern.

Jamie Buhl defeated Adriane Ullery 6-0, 6-1 at No. 1 singles. In the second spot, Rachel Merida won 6-3, 6-1 over Dayna Newman 6-3, 6-1. At No. 3, Ali Reece beat Jasmine Thorne 6-1, 6-1.

In doubles action, Kylei Klein and Lydia Bertsch got by Ashley Jay and Autumn Lowhorn 6-2, 6-2; Leslie Richardson and Kami Laymon outlasted Emily Fouche and Kasey Andrews 6-4, 3-6, 6-0 at No. 2.

Lincoln (8-3, 4-3) gets a visit from Richmond on Thursday before both teams start play in the TEC Tournament on Saturday in Fountain City.
