UNION CITY, Ind. – The Lincoln girls tennis team began the season on Tuesday with a 5-0 win over Union City in a Tri-Eastern Conference affair.
In the top singles spot, Lincoln’s Jamie Buhl defeated Union City’s Katie Rismiller 6-0, 6-0.
At No. 2, Rachel Merida beat Breann Ward 6-0, 6-0. Ali Reese won 6-1, 6-4 over Emalee Bocanaega at No. 3.
Lincoln’s No. 1 doubles team of Lydia Bertsch and Kylei Klein posted a 6-2, 6-1 win over Emily Cline and Allie Conklin.
Leslie Richardson and Kami Laymon were victorious 6-0, 6-0 in their contest against Tiffany Reagan and Maria Casillas at No. 2.
The Golden Eagles also the JV match 3-0.
Both teams have TEC matches on Thursday as Lincoln (1-0, 1-0) is at Winchester, while Union City entertains Tri.
