Indians Wrestle at RHS Invite

RICHMOND, Ind. –
The Union City wrestling team participated in the Wayne County Tournament on Friday and Saturday.

There were three dual meets on Friday night and five more on Saturday.

Union City was shorthanded as a team due to injuries and illness, but individually the Indians had several wrestlers perform well as Max Harris earned his 100th win for his career.

“We had a great weekend of wrestling,” Union City Head Coach Keith Maloy said. “This event was great to get us ready for county and conference.”

“Max getting his 100th win was a big deal and we are so happy for him,” Maloy added. “We had several wrestlers shine during this event. Nick Wells, Josh Crawford, Jayden Hindsley and Braxton Wright did a tremendous job over the two days. They battled in every match and they were able to compete at a high level.”
