Knights Win Second Straight


FOUNTAIN CITY, Ind. –
The Northeastern girls basketball team won its second game in a row on Saturday as the Knights defeated National Trail 40-31.

Jenna McFarland scored the first seven points for the Knights as she went on to lead the way with 11.

The Knights led 17-9 after the first quarter and 26-11 at halftime. They led 34-20 after three.

Madi Clay finished with 10 points, while Kelli Drake tossed in seven points.

Kasey Andrews added five points with Willow Runyon contributing four points. Emma Wright had three points.

Northeastern won the JV contest 30-17 with Aunika Railsback scoring 14 points. McKenzie Chasteen scored six points and Jamie Andrews added five points.

The Knights (4-4) travel to Daleville on Tuesday. The JV squad faces Centerville at home on Monday.
