Bulldogs Win on Senior Night

CENTERVILLE, Ind. –
Chris Pritchett scored three times for Centerville on Friday night as the Bulldogs finished the regular season with a 35-14 Senior Night victory over Winchester.

Pritchett had scoring runs of two, six and 57 yards as he gained a total of 152 in the Tri-Eastern Conference affair.

It took nearly the entire first half before both teams would score in the final minute of the second quarter.

Winchester’s Isaiah Jordan-Miller tossed a 31-yard touchdown pass to Jordan Key with 58 seconds remaining. Key ran the 2-point conversion and it was 8-0.

After the kickoff, the Bulldogs were able to answer with 24 seconds left. Dylan Benedict threw a 63-yard pass to Peyton VanWinkle to set up Pritchett’s first score from the 2-yard line. Benedict tied the contest with the 2-point conversion.

Centerville took the lead for good as the Bulldogs scored on their opening drive of the third with Pritchett crossing the goal line from 6-yards out to give his team a 15-8 advantage after Dante Torres booted the PAT.

The Bulldogs put the game away in the final period with 20 points.

Pritchett scored on his long run before Reese VanDevender added a 4-yard run. Benedict hit Cole Cooper on a 4-yard scoring play.

Jordan-Miller ended the night for the Golden Falcons with a 60-yard toss to Key.

Benedict finished 3-of-6 for 80 yards and he added 45 rushing yards.

Jordan-Miller was 14-of-19 for 175 yards for the Golden Falcons.

Key led Winchester with 71 yards on the ground and he grabbed two passes for 91 yards. Boo Enis had seven catches for 85 yards.

Defensively for the Bulldogs, Pritchett and Cooper led the way with 11 tackles apiece. VanDevender finished with 10 stops. Jacob Creigmile and Clete Schilling recovered fumbles.

Tanner Stevenson led the Golden Falcons with 10 tackles, while Kyle Nelson recovered a fumble.

Centerville (7-2, 6-1) entertains Eastern Hancock (6-3) in the Class 2A sectional next Friday and Winchester (1-8, 1-6) gets a visit from Lapel (6-3) in its Class 2A sectional opener.
