Tigers Claim Third Straight TEC Title


HAGERSTOWN, Ind. –
The Hagerstown volleyball team defeated Centerville 25-6, 25-13, 25-16 on Thursday as the Tigers won the Tri-Eastern Conference title for the third year in a row.

The Tigers finish the year at 30-1 and 8-0 in the conference. Centerville is 18-10 overall and 5-3 in the league.

The two teams meet again in the Class 2A sectional at Winchester next Saturday.

On Thursday, Regan Tinkle led the team with 10 kills and seven blocks.

Jessica Swimm added nine kills, while Taylor Kelley had seven kills and 18 service points.

Lanie McClanahan add nine digs, six kills, and 12 service points.

Lacee Dale had 14 digs and Beth Jenkins set for 31 assists and eight digs.

For the Bulldogs, Addie Walther led the way with seven kills.

Morgan Toschlog added 17 digs and Ally Staton had 14 assists.

Hagerstown won the JV contest 19-25, 25-14, 15-12.

The Tigers finish 20-1, while Centerville ends 13-5.

Kate Wilson had nine kills for Centerville and Bridget Robinson had 11 digs. Lexi King had nine digs and Emily Wilson added eight assists.
