Indians Win in Overtime

Union City quarterback Trevor Thompson threw four touchdowns to lead the Indians to a 28-20 win over Lincoln.


UNION CITY, Ind. –
Trevor Thompson threw four touchdowns on Friday night including the game-winner as Union City defeated Lincoln 28-20 in overtime.

Thompson hit Mason Good for a 12-yard score as the Indians rallied for a Homecoming win in the Tri-Eastern Conference affair.

Union City led 8-6 after one period before the Golden Eagles worked their way to a 20-8 lead by halftime.

Thompson threw a 56-yard touchdown pass to Cameron Vincent in the first half.

In the third quarter, Thompson added two scoring strikes to Akili Roberts and Kyler Purdin to tie the game at 20-20.

Thompson was 7-of-18 for 146 yards.

Jeremiah Holder led the Golden Eagles with 177 yards rushing with the touchdown. Matt Fields added 60 yards on the ground with another score.

Jacob Ervin was 3-of-8 passing with 29 yards with a touchdown throw to Caleb Craig, who had two catches for 25 yards.

Rawlin Mills led the Union City defense with 12 tackles and Chris Perez finished with 10. Thompson and Purdin both had interceptions.

Nick Anderson topped Lincoln with nine tackles, while Chase Hokey finished with eight stops.

The Indians (3-4, 2-3) entertain Hagerstown next Friday, while the Golden Eagles (1-6, 1-4) get a visit from Northeastern.
