Tigers Take Lead in TEC

CENTERVILLE, Ind. –
A pair of touchdowns in the fourth quarter made the difference for Hagerstown on Friday as the Tigers defeated Centerville 20-6.

With the win, Hagerstown now leads the Tri-Eastern Conference with a 5-0 mark, while the Bulldogs fall to second place at 4-1. Over the the Tigers are 5-1 and Centerville is 4-2.

With the score tied at 6-6, Mason Hicks gave the Tigers the lead with a 1-yard plunge with 11:22 left to play in the contest.

After recovering a fumble on the ensuing kickoff, Hagerstown put the game away as Hicks scored again on a 25-yard pass from Owen Golliher at the 9:23 mark.

Early Advantage

The Tigers scored on their opening possession of the game when Golliher ran in from six yards out with 9:17 to go in the first period.

Centerville cut the deficit in half when Dante Torres booted a 24-yard field goal at 6:57.

In the third quarter, Torres tied the affair with a 41-yard field goal to set the stage for the final stanza.

Both teams are on the road next Friday as the Tigers visit Union City and the Bulldogs travel to Union County.
